All good things must come to an end. Apparently, so must bad things. Though the Bizkit haven't really called it quits yet, they might as well. Some things are better left in the past, like soundtracks to "extreme" sports and that time when it was kool to spell thingz wrong. The best thing about the Limp Bizkit catalogue is the middle finger it gives to subtlety and craft. You almost feel sympathy for Fred Durst, with his poor-me outbursts and inarticulate songs (see "Break Stuff") Later LB material makes so-so stabs at melodic and introspective material. The unreleased bonus tracks, including a novelty mash-up of Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" and The Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony," are a bore. Even if the cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" is decent, you can't help but think it was just made as an excuse to make out with Halle Berry in the video.
