- Sony BMG
- 3 / 5

The Colombian songwriter, known for her sensual belly dancing, returns with the follow-up/companion LP to her all-Spanish summer release, Oral Fixation Vol. 1. This disc features 11 new songs, all written and performed in English. "Illegal" features the trademark guitar of Carlos Santana, while "Hey You" is a playful, poppy song that has the rhythm and the chorus structure of Petula Clark's hit "Downtown." With lots of voice digitization and musical experimentation, Oral Fixation Vol. 2 finds Shakira futher experimenting with her sound, but it's her well-crafted lyrics that remain at the forefront of her music.
