There’s never really been an "all-star" band that has lived up to the hype. This is no exception. The Brides Of Destruction are dubious at best thanks to leaders bassist Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) and guitarist Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), guys who are more infamous for their touring debauchery than respected for their musical ability. That’s why it’s no surprise that Here Come The Brides pretty much falls flat on its face. Although individual band members were once adored for their take on slutty L.A. rock, the band are plagued by the fact that they are FORMER sleazy rockers that have cleaned up, matured and aren’t entirely in touch with their former hungry selves. The result is reserved, predictable hard rock that never gets out of first gear when it should be in overdrive. Maybe once they hit the road and lose some of that middle-aged-guy-with-responsibilities crap, they’ll loosen up.
