Tiga — Ciao!

Those in search of lyrical intelligence should probably look elsewhere. Ciao!, Tiga Sontag's sophomore full-length, is strictly about having fun, free from intellectual constraints.
While five minutes of Tiga singing "Luxury/Ah ah ah" and listing brand names doesn't do much in the way of stimulation, the accompanying music at least inspires ass-shaking. Ciao! is definitely built for the kind of dance club you'd refer to as a "meat market."
Tiga has included a Q&A with himself in the album booklet. It's unclear who's asking the questions, but some of the answers hint at Tiga's career aspirations.
"My goal has always been to become the most famous man in the world by the time I am 50," he says.
Tiga still has a long way to go before he hits that level of popularity, but he's evidently on the way. He convinced genre superstar James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem to guest on Ciao! along with Gonzales, Soulwax and the Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears.
Ciao! isn't noticeably better or worse than Tiga's Sexor debut. Both records are mediocre aside from a couple of standout tracks.
