There are many voices speaking on this sophomore release from these Vancouver-based pop crooners: buttery female vocals alternate and harmonize with melancholy male ones, while piano and organ communicate in their own foreign and mysterious tongues. The result is a storybook of a record — easily one of the most charming stories I’ve heard in awhile. The orchestration is lovely and the lyrics represent some of the cleverest pop musings ever penned, particularly on "Herculean Bellboy" and "One False Move." I am utterly beguiled.
