D-Sisive — Let The Children Die
- Let The Children Die
- Urbnet/Fontana North
- 4 / 5

Let The Children Die may lack the cohesive vision and impact of last year's The Book EP, but what it lacks in focus it certainly makes up for in breadth and scope. D-Sisive is emerging as an artist with a pretty impressive range of talents, and this long-anticipated debut album does its best to showcase them all.
The record encompasses everything from a haunting Spiritualized cover ("Death Take Your Fiddle" in "The Introduction") to pointed indictments of modern hip-hop ("Let The Childen Die," "Switzerland") to ridiculously cool collaborations with other prominent Canadian MCs ("The Superbowl Is Over" with Buck 65 and "Riot I Caused" with Classified). There's also more Book-esque material ("Father") and even a borderline ballad ("Die In Amsterdam").
As broad as it is, it's hard to fault the guy when he seems to be so good at almost everything he tries.
