Wow, first it was Oasis who turned all mature and sappy once they grew older and had kids, but who would've thought Green Day would turn out the same way?
Warning is a catchy little album, but someone please find the band's once gritty punk bone! I mean, the harmonica pieces on "Hold On" are so identical to those in the Beatles' tune "I Should Have Known Better" that it makes you wonder whether Sir Paul got royalties from it. Warning is an easy and similar progression from Green Day's last offering, Nimrod. Loads of strings and a tinge of the '20s big beat sound are strewn through this album. Don't expect loads of piss and vinegar in this album, but there's a few class selections that'll play out through the winter on the radio.
