Madonna — Music
- Music
- Warner
- 4 / 5

As usual Madonna has succeeded with converging modern sounds; she goes from electronic to folk, making each groove her own. The joyride begins with songs that feel more like remixed versions of real ones. Then half way through the album she brings out the acoustic guitar, something new for Madonna, adding in the Sarah McLachlan style.
French producer Mirwais explored with both the natural sounding Madonna and the Cher-esque synthesized vocals. She doesn't stray too far away from what she was trying to achieve with Ray Of Light, but it is all new and stands on its own. The last track "Gone" was a personal favourite due to the harmonies that sound freshly plucked from a Neil Young album.
Overall, Maddy's still got it. Surprise, surprise. One little side note: it seems that technology has picked up where promotions departments have dropped out of site. With no advance music to be found, turning to the ever popular Internet as a sneak preview-of-sorts was the only way to hear her Music first. Funny that.
