Wow, who needs Robert Plant when you've got Chris Robinson? Live At The Greek Theatre is a collection of 20 live songs that The Black Crowes and Led Zeppelin's legendary guitarist Jimmy Page performed during their American tour together earlier this year. I always knew that whenever Robinson groaned and grunted "Baby Please" in his performances live it was as if Robert Plant just slipped into his stick-thin body. And he got the chance to be the closest that he could be to a member of Zeppelin. It's quite evident from the way this record sounds so tight and full of thriving rock 'n' roll fever that Robinson and the Crowes are having the time of their life. There's only one Crowes tune done live here, "Shake Your Money Maker," but that's alright seeing as this is a once in a lifetime deal to put these two great acts together. It's amusing to see how they both work off of each other. Kind of like the relationship between a teacher and his pupils. I think you can guess who's the teacher and who are the pupils.
