Method Man and Redman have returned fresh from the Ice Cube school of performing arts. Taking a cue from Amerikkka's most wanted rapper/thespian, the dynamic duo star in their own movie vehicle, How High, and figure prominently on its supporting soundtrack. To its credit, the disc boasts classic recycled material like Meth's "Bring Da Pain" and "All I Need" (the latter a RZA remix of his duet with Mary J. Blige), as well as the duo's "Da Rockwilder" and a remix of "How High." DMX's "Party Up," Ludacris' "What's Your Fantasy" and Saukrates' "Fine Line" also add some cred, which is more than can be said for Meth's lame-ass collaboration with Limp Bizkit ("N 2 Gether Now"). Of the new material, "How High 2", "Round And Round" (recorded with nouveau songstress Jonell) and "Cisco Kid" (with Cypress Hill) enlist the production services of Erick Sermon, Hi-Tek and Rockwilder, respectively. How can you lose with a team like that? Expect this movie and its soundtrack to do some big holiday business.
