Halifax songstress Rebekah Higgs is known for her brand of electronic indie pop, but she's recently been concentrating on fronting dirty-electro quartet Ruby Jean & The Thoughtful Bees.

Higgs didn't seem at the top of her game. She performed only with a drummer backing her, when she really needed a full band to give her music legs to stand on.

Higgs appeared very comfortable on stage, moving effortlessly from keyboards to guitar. She plugged her Ruby Jean project, and apologized for her voice not being up to par since she's been screaming every night while on tour with her new band.

She started out with a song she created by building loops and singing over top, which proved to be a weak start to her set. She later moved to more filled out songs with keyboards and guitar. While a few tracks really came alive, most were unable to captivate.
