Those dark warriors armed with striped shirts and leather jackets, emocore tunes and a penchant for horror-schlock are back to save the masses with Life On The Murder Scene. This CD/two-DVD package from the five New Jersey guys known affectionately as My Chem is one hell of a collection. The CD includes live performances, demos and the previously unreleased "Desert Song," a funeral march ballad with Gerard Way at his most pained. Most of the songs are from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Ray Toro's fierce guitar shreds often overshadow Way's breathless wails. The first DVD is a two-hour video diary that takes you to Gerard and brother Mikey Way's middle school, the band's first concerts and, of course, backstage. The second disc features live performances, TV appearances and music videos. Four cheers for Life On The Murder Scene's bloody good look into My Chem's fantastical revenge-fuelled journey.
