Pennsylvania punk stalwarts Anti-Flag have almost become an institution for angry, politically-charged punk rock. While most young punks cut their teeth on the band's earlier material, the quartet continue to move forward and fight the good fight. Their sixth album sees them moving further away from speed punk and simultaneously becoming heavier and more aggressive as well as more melodic and focused in their songwriting. "The Press Corpse" is as potently subversive as anything they've done in the past, only now their message is more accessible, which means more people will be ready to listen. The old punk fury is still here, but now that they appeal to a wider audience, the music is even more dangerous.
