He may not be going eight times platinum anymore, but if you were to ask Kid Rock he'd probably tell you he's still in his prime, despite everyone's best efforts to destroy him. Kid has dropped the cocky redneck wigger shtick from the nu-metal days and has stuck to just being a cocky redneck that loves to entertain anyone who wants to see him. Live Trucker doubles as a best-of collection that leans more toward Kid Rock's hip-hop side. Favourites like "Devil Without A Cause" and "Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp" are given a southern rock redux on this live album. And after drinking a couple of shots of J.D., the chorus on "Bawitdaba" sounds like the most ingenious shit ever. Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny that Kid Rock is a great performer and Live Trucker is one of those live experiences that translates well on CD.
