Th Anti-Matter Anthology: A 1990s Post-Punk & Hardcore Reader

Book Review
The behind-the-scenes look at rock stars' excessive lives is an age-old cliché, so it's interesting to read a punk rock counterpoint. And unsurprisingly, things are far more compelling on the punk side. Reading Ian MacKaye's thoughts on the economics of his Dischord label, or Zack De La Rocha discuss the paradoxical nature of violent, revolutionary images, is infinitely more engaging than another drug-trip tale. Interviews with Quicksand and Elliott Smith are highlights.
