Dido's third release echoes many of the same aspects of 1999's No Angel. Her voice is absolutely mesmerizing and beautiful, and the songs are soothing and poetic, but it lacks the calibre of hits from her previous releases. Dido seems in turmoil, torn between feeling heartache over the loss of a relationship and the power of being independent. The beautifully constructed first single "Don't Believe In Love" is the standout track on the record, which features contributions from ambient godfather Brian Eno and producer Jon Brion. Although the album isn't as hit-worthy, the poetry still strongly showcases why Dido has won a bunch of songwriter awards.
