Bridges ebbs and flows almost effortlessly over 13 tracks of swirling guitars and the gently intoned harmony vocals of Adam Kittredge and Antonia Freybe-Smith, sounding like a laid-back, west coast Canadian answer to The Dandy Warhols. With most albums, there's usually a snag somewhere in the middle — a song that jolts the listener out of a good groove — but Jets Overhead keep the momentum up on Bridges, with each song uncovering a new melodic twist and another addictive chorus. From the spare, mournful "All The People" to the intense beat and soaring swell of "Shadow Knows," the Jets have crafted a stunning work of gentle, psychedelic pop art.
