DVD Review
- Sudden Death/MVD
- 4 / 5

As frequent as Joe Shithead's reissuing of all things D.O.A. may be, it's hard to get tired of it when he releases products like this. Smash The State showcases the legendary hardcore band in their prime, and the footage is perfectly in step with the band themselves — raw and intense with absolutely no frills. Clocking in at barely over an hour, the DVD hardly overstays its welcome. Out of all the recent retrospectives they've released, Smash The State is most worthy of the "must-have" tag for any hardcore fan.
