It seems somewhat premature for a young band like Winnipeg's Comeback Kid to release a retrospective documentary so early in their career. They're barely passed their half-decade anniversary, so there isn't that much to tell other than surviving a few member changes. But, with the attention to detail and formidable quality of Through The Noise, one can overlook their anti-climatic existence to find something modestly interesting. Relayed via interviews, live footage and behind-the-scenes candid material, the video covers all ground from their first jam session before finding a moniker to the present... all told relatively tamely and straight-up. Thankfully though, it's fleshed out by a rousing Live In Leipzig set, music videos and an accompanying audio disc. A ravenous show captured on multiple cameras, Live In Leipzig is captivating with its energy, and saves Through The Noise from being just another somewhat uneventful documentary.
