The same folks who brought you 2003's Dub Side Of The Moon, a reggae version of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, are back with their interpretation of Radiohead's OK Computer. The Oxford quintet's dense, textured and complex music isn't easy to translate, but the 16-piece band and their impressive cast of guest vocalists do it better than most would expect. The lyrical theme of alienation fits well in this context, and the air of mystery remains on such tracks as the Horace Andy-sung "Airbag" as well as "Paranoid Android." Toots & The Maytals, perhaps more than anyone else on this disc, make a song more their own on "Let Down." "Karma Police," "No Surprises" and "Lucky" should also appeal to both reggae fans and open-minded followers of the originals. In fact, I like these more.
