ChartAttack staff swarmed the Pop Montreal festival last weekend. Here are some of the highlights:
LOFT PARTY w/ Dee Selig, Professor Groove, DJ Static de Wefunk
I could have sworn the old gray-beard who hopped on the decks around 3 a.m. introduced himself as "Old Man Riddim." That was a kinda bitchin' way to accompany the sweet 'n' lazy reggae vibe he was throwing down. But a soundsystem that kept on fluttering out and a quick shift to rock critic kryptonite — calypso — quickly killed the buzz. At least there was some dude with a Star Trek headset wandering around to make fun of. Still, a room full of teenage honkies with no rhythm is not a pretty sight.
