- 4 / 5

I've never been a fan of The Dresden Dolls. That cover they did of Queens' "No One Knows" was interesting, but besides that... nothing. So consider my surprise when I listened to Palmer's solo record and thought it was really good. That's an even greater endorsement after I read that "a lot of the songs are piano ballads that never found a home on a Dolls' record." I'm at a complete standstill. I don't know why I like this more than anything I've heard by The Dresden Dolls. Maybe it's Brian Viglione's fault. Maybe he just ruined it for me. It probably also helps that in my Palmer-related fantasies, I'm now the only dude there. In fact, Palmer should start a band with some hot girls. It would totally be, like, the best band ever!
