- Fueled By Ramen/EMI
- 2.5 / 5

It's
alright to buy into this band's name, because this album definitely
doesn't have any teeth. The Same Old Blood Rush plays it very safe,
pandering to the 14-year-old girls still writing on their sneakers with
Magic Markers and crushing on the cute boy who works at Taco Bell.
These girls are also the ones who worship CIWWAF in a cult-like
fervour, which is understandable since it's not hard to see how a young
teenager could relate to songs like "The Fourth Drink Instinct" and
"The Curse Of Curves." But combine the band's pretty-boy good looks and
almost feminine vocals — no screaming or caterwauling here — and it's
obvious who their audience will forever be. If a band like Fall Out Boy
are a pure sugar rush, then this is mall-pop emo as Splenda — not as
many calories, but not as much flavour.
