- 3.5 / 5

The bizarre punk/prog fusion of Coheed And Cambria continues on No World Of Tomorrow, and the tunes within are equal parts stellar and interstellar. Technical prowess and the trademark wail of vocalist Claudio Sanchez are again your touchstones and as band streamline their tendencies somewhat, landing the disc's singles on modern rock radio in the process. "The Running Free" is the lead single and, while the track is a lot more conventional than the band's earlier efforts, it still stands out amongst anything you"re liable to hear over the airwaves. The production is massive and the dynamics are all over the map, making No World Of Tomorrow a rollercoaster ride that keeps the listener off balance on purpose. Even if this isn't your cup of tea, you've gotta give Coheed And Cambria credit for at last forging a sound you're not likely to hear anywhere else.
