Comment:
I had seen this band years ago as Bread & Circus, was impressed by them then and am happy to see how they have progressed musically now. Burnett's refined vocals begs comparison to Ron Sexsmith and also speaks to his musical originality.

Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step: It was obvious that Richard and
his band have been gigging for years, as their relaxed stage presence
was reflected. The Bull was a perfect venue for the melodic, yet often
dark, sound of this ensemble.

Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step: It is difficult to draw musical comparisons that would do this group justice. Though comparisons that might seem obvious are Johnny Cash or Neil Young, his music draws on a broad landscape of Canadian artists. His talents, and the talent of his bass player and drummer, make for a truly unique sound.
