Young Galaxy @ CMW 2007

Background/Composition: This fairly new band come out of Montreal and already have folks in la belle province talking about their mid-tempo melancholy rock sound that every so often gets epic.

Grade: 78

Comment: These guys and gals have a sound that will catch on with the indie rock crowd. The male and female vocals add good variety and they can pull hooks out when they want to.

Strengths/Weaknesses/NextStep: Young Galaxy will grow on you like moss in the corner of a damp basement. Their songs have the ability of creeping into your psyche. One major critique: make sure that when the keyboard player is playing the tambourine, she hits it on the two and four, not the one and three.
