Jason Bajada @ NXNE 2006

Live Review
Jason Bajada
Background/Composition: Solid singer/songwriter who blends all flavours of pop together.

Grade: 83

Comment: Bajada never fails to deliver. There's a unique sense of performer in him that immediately comes out on stage. He also gets the rock show formula. Some hard-hitting, gripping tunes paired with some softer stuff that required a little audience participation is really what it's all about, isn't it?

Strengths/Weaknesses/NextStep: Doing the circuit right now to promote his latest CD, Up Go The Arms, Bajada seemd to have picked up right where he left off with his crtitically acclaimed debut, Puer Dolor. His new material features the same rich harmonies and unique arrangements that separate him from the pack.

Strengths/Weaknesses/NextStep: Why Bajada hasn't turned the corner and become more popular in Canada is beyond me. Maybe the release of his first video will get him some more exposure and make him a permanent fixture in the Canadian music scene.
