It appears this Christian screamo outfit have grown a huge pair of balls. They haven't exactly ditched the sing/scream formula, as their sound is still in tune with that of the Alexisonfire demographic, but here they amp up the intensity and go for broke instead of the more watered down sound they had on They're Only Chasing Safety. Like Thrice or Thursday, Underoath use electronic flourishes to flesh out "There Could Be Nothing After This" and the crawling "Casting Such A Thin Shadow." There are a few duds, but overall Define The Great Line shows a prominent screamo band striving to progress in an overcrowded scene. We can only hope other bands follow suit, and soon.
