Use Of Stage: E
Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step: Cancer Bats are a metal band who actually look like a metal band, complete with unwashed long hair ideal for headbanging. Singer Liam Cormier spat and thrashed his way convincingly around the stage, although his attempts to engage the crowd between songs didn't always pay off.

Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step: Cancer Bats delivered an all-out sonic assault, but the underlying melodies were surprisingly decipherable in the midst of the racket. They're an accomplished band who know how to sell their sound onstage. And, again, they're really, really loud.

Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step: These guys did exactly what they came to do, rocking hard enough to inspire brief spurts of moshing and leaving everyone's ears ringing. Cormier was a dynamo, leaping onto the stacks and bouncing into his bandmates. If anything, he should give up the chit-chat altogether and concentrate strictly on the rock.
