See, I said to someone that he sounded like a weaker version of Hawskley Workman. They almost threw their drink in my face and said that Luke Doucet is better than HW. The songs kind of meandered around an invisible point. Still, the man can sing, and he works a crowd pretty well for a tosser. I'd say next step would be to let someone else write the "soulful" lyrics and he could just be the pretty boy delivering them.

This dude probably gets laid a lot, because he's cute and he's in touch with his sensitivity. While most of the interaction seemed to be a bit of the "look at me" syndrome, he did have everyone's full attention. Kudos for that, but then again, the audience was all music geeks anyway.

He did look like kind of a dork up there vying for everyone's love, but he pulled it off because he's a performer. Smooth and comfortable on stage, Doucet emotes a laidback vibe. Now all he needs to do is get some balls in his music, so he doesn't come across like that guy in Animal House. "I gave my love a cherry..."
