Question: What does Machine Head give you that Limp Bizkit, Korn and Slipknot already don’t?
Answer: Jack shit!
What was once a promising neo-thrash band has decided to follow the almighty dollar and old-school fans have been paying the price ever since. To be fair, the first full song “Bulldozer,” showed enough promise that the album looked like it would make their previous, The Burning Red, a bad dream.
Then, whammo, you’re hit by a wall of redundancy.
At least Slipknot use inventive arrangements and add dynamics to their sound — the only thing dynamic about Supercharger is that all the tracks are separated, otherwise you could put the CD player on song three or 12 and you couldn’t tell the fucking difference.
Stuff like this is killing good extreme music everywhere and Machine Head’s Supercharger is just criminal.
