As her previous incarnation as Mudgirl made so apparent, Kim Bingham is a master of the hook. Although she may have left that moniker behind in favour of the more straight-forward Kim Band, she’s lost none of her talent for great bursts of pop-rock that can stay in your head for days.
Whether it’s a heavier, up-tempo number like “Confession Of An Astronaut,” a hit in waiting like the first single “What A Drag!” or slower material along the lines of “Learning,” each track is laced with pure singalong fun. With not a single weak song amongst the 10 tracks, Girlology is the sort of quality album that should please casual radio listeners and indie snobs alike.
