Two discs of pure shouting and noise. I have no doubt in my mind that Ozzfest is indeed a spectacle to behold live. Swarms of sweaty metalheads pumping their fists and stomping around in circles is something to expect, but what about the reception that the bands onstage get from these devoted fans? Save for the fan response for the OzzMan's two contributions, it's pretty uneventful. A few shouts of "Fuckin' Right!" are interspersed here and there, but Powerman 5000's finished set was met with a frighteningly limited applause and shouts. I guess guys dressed like Spacemen aren't cool to Metalheads… Disc One is more nu metal than heavy metal and vice versa for Disc Two. Both are solid for the live, sweaty oomph that all bands give, but the true dirt and grime of a traditional Ozzfest truly shines on the second disc. Bring back those world tours with Slayer and Fear Factory, PLLLLEEEEAAASSSE! ROCK ON!
