For a band that boasted some of the most immaculate singles in the '80s, New Order were never much of a live band and it's a wonder they would choose this as their first official concert release. It's awful. Recorded at 1987's Glastonbury Festival, the then-peerless electronic band were coming off a breathtaking creative peak. In this performance, singer/guitarist Bernard Sumner ditched his studio perfectionism and hijacked the whole sound, singing out of tune, changing octaves mid-melody and forgetting lyrics. In fact, the last song, a "cover" of The Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray," bears no lyrical relation to the original. Besides the inclusion of some older songs they've barely played since, the only selling point here is that this concert is so shit it's amusing.
