The first volume of Everclear's Songs From An American Movie included a batch of quieter, radio-friendly sweet pop-rock songs that sounded sugary-sweet. But some of us were waiting for the rockers to come out. Now Vol.2 is in stores and we can hear Art's wailing in full force. That rousing, thumping sound that Everclear is known for (not to mention the "YEAH!"'s that Art throttles out of every song) sounds pretty solid here. Never ones to wanna grow up, Everclear play out the hard-assed stuff on Vol.2 that was anticipated after the ho-hum release of Vol.1. From the winning first track "When It All Goes Wrong Again" to "All F**ked Up," the punkers that like Everclear will dig this.
