WHAT HE'S WEARING:
Jeans and T-shirt by Gsus; Puma shoes; Oakley glasses.
WHAT HE WEARS ON STAGE:
The electronic artist (real name Maxime Morin) keeps it light with cotton T-shirts and jeans. "With the lights and the jumping and moving, you get warm real fast," says Morin. "During concerts I mostly take off my T-shirt — not because I'm a show-off — but ‘cause I need to feel comfortable."
FASHION VICES:
Luggage to haul his DJ equipment. "I'm crazy about bags and road cases. Every time I see one I'm like, "I could put this and that in there…" Morin, counting off 12 bags that he owns, says his favourite is one by Briggs & Riley that carries his laptop and mini controller. He especially likes UDG (Ultimate DJ Gear) bags.
MOST TREASURED ITEM:
A red leather jacket that Morin's had for the past 15 years. Though it's falling apart, he wears it constantly and is searching for someone to restore it.
STYLE PHILOSOPHY:
Morin won't buy anything from a label surrounded in sweatshop rumours. "I try to avoid stuff like Tommy [Hilfiger] or Nike, which is too bad 'cause Nike has the most beautiful fucking shoes!"
FAVOURITE SHOPPING DESTINATION:
Though Morin isn't "too crazy" about shopping, his favourite labels are Gsus, Benetton and Puma. "I'm always wearing Gsus. They are street-wise, but not
too much. It's a nice in-between."
STYLE INSPIRATION:
His friends and hometown of Montreal. "Mostly I'm trying to feel the vibe. When you live in the city, you have to look around and open your eyes and see the people and feel the vibe. You see what's cool and what's not," he says with a laugh.
