Moline, Illinois

The peaceful residents of Moline, Illinois suffered from two natural disasters back to back last week. On Thursday (June 14) the small city, home to John Deere, suffered a 12 hour power loss after a tornado touched down and whipped up the Mississippi River tearing down power lines, knocking over trees and generally making a real good mess of things. Then Friday (June 15) nine guys from Des Moines, Iowa, (about a two hour drive away) in black coveralls with goat-embossed-armbands, wearing freakish clown masks invaded their arena, The Mark Of The Quad Cities.

Thankfully, on Saturday all was quiet. ChartAttack's M&M was flown in by private jet to witness the carnage of Slipknot's Kill The Industry tour, interview the band and to hear their new album, Iowa. He was still suffering from injuries and exhaustion three days later after witnessing the most intense, mind-numbing performance of his life. M&M didn't even realise the damage he was doing to himself during the concert until long after the gig was over.

When not attempting to upstage Black Sabbath on the Ozzfest tour, Slipknot have been using their days off to embark on their own mission, the aforementioned Kill The Industry. They've brought along soldiers Papa Roach, Mudvayne and The Union Underground as cannon fodder.

Sadly, no dates are planned for Canada at this time.
