Who would've thought that being clean and sober would make you even more outlandish and freakish? But once Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland got rid of the smack, out came the boas, make-up and overall androgynous look with so much fervor that one has to think his time in the slammer must've done something to him.
Pictured here in his Ziggy Stardust-esque splendor, Weiland performed with his band Stone Temple Pilots Wednesday, August 16 at The Molson Amphitheatre before The Red Hot Chili Peppers went on. Weiland was a showman extraordinaire as he twirled, kicked, crouched and slithered across the stage, teasing and taunting the fans, demanding that those from the higher levels come down and fill the aisles near the front of the stage.
The Pilots' performance surpassed the Chilis' disappointing set, and that is primarily due to the fact that STP've got one helluva frontman who knows how to get the women all hot and bothered while the men pump their fists in the air at the same time.
