Last Tuesday's Modest Mouse show at the Hummingbird Centre wasn't exactly the triumph fans might have hoped for, due to the absence of bassist Eric Judy. But it wasn't for a lack of trying on Isaac Brock's part. The group's frontman belted out plenty of the Modest Mouse back catalogue, and songs from their new record, We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, with fire aplenty.
