The Weekend finally arrived from London, ON to perform Saturday night at North By Northeast in Toronto. Pictured on the left is lyricist Andrea Wasse (guitars/vocals) and her best friend from grade school Lorien Jones (bass/vox). They know how to rock out on stage, but need a little more stage time to get their show down pat. When they do they're guaranteed to blow away audiences. Get in the van, gals! Their self-titled debut album on Teenage USA has turned many heads, including ChartAttack.com's with their Cars inspired keyboard sounds and their rockin' guitars. We can sing along to "Cindy" and "The Single," and did so at their showcase at Lee's Palace. It should be noted that this is a major accomplishment for us, as we tend to forget things easily. Andrea and Lorien also did the schmooze rounds, having met ChartAttack.com at the EMI Publishing rooftop party. Their record label labeled them "groupies," but really they only skipped out of their parents home to go see bands in Toronto without mom and dad knowing.
