It's really easy for a lot of people (Canadians, especially Inuk throat singers) to roll their eyes each time Morrissey aka The Donald Trump of Indie opens his mouth for something that isn't lovely music. But here's something, according to a post on True To You: the thirty year publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music for Morrissey's solo albums and The Smiths' entire back catalogue has just expired, and Moz's people are soliciting offers from any and all publishing companies.
If the prospect of handling all that classic music outweighs the dread of having to communicate with Morrissey on a regular basis, hey dude, go for it. Send your applications to email@example.com. If you're intimidated, remember that we got KISS out of classified newspaper ads. So maybe this new publishing deal will create the theatrical metal empire Morrissey's been hinting at since forever.
