For fans of the physical format, Record Store Day has become the single greatest holiday of the year, a glorious wonderland of special reissues, rare singles, formerly-fan club only releases, oddball splits, coloured vinyl and other enviable, grippable music (check out the full list of exclusives here). But even for non-collectors, there’s a great reason to rouse yourself from your Rdio & SoundCloud K-hole and venture out to a real world record store: free live music.

That’s why we’ve partnered up with Sonic Boom, Toronto’s epicentre for live in-store music since long before the advent of Record Store Day, for a full day of great bands and other surprises (like, win a $25 Record Store Day gift card here) to soundtrack your search for that ultra-rare Spoon EP you never thought you’d hold in your hands.

It all goes down Saturday, April 19 at Sonic Boom (782 Bathurst St., Toronto). Check out the list of performers below:

> 12PM // Luke Lalonde

> 1PM // Unfinished Business

> 2 PM // DIANA

> 3PM // Greys

> 4PM // The Bicycles

> 5PM // HSY

> 6PM // PS I Love You

+ Your host, Branko Scekic of Dinosaur Bones.

It’s free, fun, and fuelled by Pistonhead Lager. So join us on April 19 for a good, refreshing time. RSVP here, and enter to win a $25 Record Store Day gift card here!
