Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q release “Hunnid Stax,” the money Emoji in rap form

The latest These Days... track is about celebrating the fruits of your labour, like fancy boxers.

It's official: Lana Del Rey is a sample mine for TDE. ScHoolboy Q's "Hands On The Wheel" reworked another artist to sound just like her, and now "National Anthem" gets screwed by Kenny Beats into "Hunnid Stax," Ab-Soul's latest track with Q from his upcoming These Days.

From the start the beat curls sinister like tire smoke on a new whip peeling out, as if to predict the rappers' patently materialistic rhymes and how starkly they stand next to the enlightenment Soul preaches. Mac Miller makes an uncredited appearance on the hook, and lets off a shell-shocked pledge to continue his destructive life. But it's really fun too, and unapologetic, like any other time Soulo lets loose. A thoroughly human contradiction that fits with his album's cover art, pictured above.

Ab-Soul's new album These Days... is out June 24 via TDE/Interscope. Win a massive Lana Del Rey prize pack here.
