Blood Orange Palo Alto Soundtrack Cover

Hear Blood Orange’s “April’s Bathroom Bummer” from the Palo Alto soundtrack

Dev Hynes just dropped a new soundtrack album for a Coppola flick.

Chartattack squiggle

- Jun 2, 2014

Last night on Twitter Dev Hynes promised that Monday would see a new, full length Blood Orange album. And here it is: a soundtrack for Gia Coppola's new film Palo Alto, based on a book by James Franco. "April's Bathroom Bummer" is streaming below. Matching the title is the claustrophobic sense of space, like the puttering piano keys and drum machine hi-hats are all pacing back and forth, bumping into each other and vying for all the oxygen Hynes' pleading vocals are sucking up. On the James Franco-associated Work Chart, this falls into the Probably Not A Joke field.

Blood Orange's Palo Alto soundtrack is out now via Domino.
