Shabazz Palaces couldn't have selected a better title for their comeback single than "They Come In Gold," because as soon as the cosmic rap crew get going you just want to give them every gold medal, as well as the silver and bronze ones, because if anyone's cracked alchemy yet it's probably these guys.

Palaceer Lazaro floats at the foot of your bed, delivering a bullet-pointed sermon for all your spiritual sins surrounded by yelping goblins on the beat. Then, absolution! With loops of plush chord clusters and zapping licks, the pleasant chat and coffee with the congregation after being convinced you're headed to hell.

In addition to their album riZe vadZimu riZe as Chimurenga Renaissance (Palaceer Lazaroand Baba Maraire's new project with Hussein Kalonji), the forthcoming Shabazz Palaces record Lese Majesty will be the second full length from their camp in 2014.

Shabazz Palaces' new album Lese Majesty is out July 29 via Sub Pop; pre-order it here. Chimurenga Renaissance's riZe vadZimu riZe is out now via Brick Lane
