The Snow Memory Loss

Hear “Memory Loss” from The Snow, featuring members of Wild Nothing, Holograms and Beach Fossils

Like Neopolitan ice cream, but janglier.

Two years ago, the frontmen of Captured Tracks bands Wild NothingHolograms and Beach Fossils (that's Jack Tatum, Andreas Lagerström and Dustin Payseur, respectively) came together for a brief recording session. Now assembled into a supergroup called The Snow, the all-star dream pop band will release a special Record Store Day 7". On A-side "Memory Loss," the sounds of these bands come together like a box of Neapolitan ice cream, easily distinct and identifiable within the track. They also play into each other nicely, though: Lagerström's glazed moan clouds the delayed dreaminess of Tatum and Payseur's projects with a new sort of grey.

The Snow's new 7", "Memory Loss" B/W "Joy of Life," will be available on Record Store Day (April 19, 2014) at participating record stores.
