The Austin rockers want you to find peace on earth.

When we last heard from Pure X, the Austin band were hesitantly toeing the depths of love. On "Heaven" they assume the role of the enlightened mystic already in the water, arms outstretched with a serene look on his beard, gently (and vaguely) encouraging us to get in. "You can have it anytime you want/Heaven's a feeling." These things are hard to explain, but the music's loose. Amber guitar melodies handle most of the legwork .

Pure X's new album Angel is out April 1st via Fat Possum; pre-order it here.
