Rick Ross Kanye West Sanctified

Listen: Rick Ross finds Yeezus on “Sanctified” with Kanye West and Big Sean

Rozay sinks a Waco reference from the freethrow.

Meek Mill's "Amen" is a ruthlessly efficient Holy Spirit catcher for any creed. If the opening chords even cross my brain I will do a Baptist church-level somersault. Now, Rick Ross might - might - have created a worthy successor for Maybach Music in "Sanctified," a cut from his Mastermind project featuring Kanye West and Big Sean.

Sean provides a superb hook of palatial yearning that each rapper feeds off, sending Yeezus to look for God within bottle service rather than the church service, and Ross to become the "fresh David Koresh." Kanye's touch on the DJ Mustard co-produced beat is unmistakeable, and adds a marble-dipped mushroom cloud of royalty to the California hitmaker's sound.

Rick Ross's new album Mastermind is out March 4th via MMG/Def Jam; pre-order it here.
