Doomsquad conjure more nastiness on new single “Disremember/Dismembered”

Toronto's first “dark new age” album has a release date.

- Jan 16, 2014

Doomsquad's (unofficial) backstory could go like this: Siblings Allie, Jaclyn and Trevor Blumas escaped from a cult at an early age and raised themselves in the woods in harmony with nature and electronic music. Discovered in the woods by Hand Drawn Dracula during their office bonding retreat, the Toronto label immediately signed the “dark new age” trio and promised to release their debut album Kalaboogie on February 25th 2014, which the band specified as “Bloodmoon's Eve.” And now they've leaked a wickedly echoing new single in celebration: “Disremember/Dismembered” beats a four-on-the-floor rhythm like a wicked celebration, as if the band had successfully conjured their first djinn and were already getting started on number 2.

Doomsquad's Kalaboogie is out February 25th via Hand Drawn Dracula.
