Listen: Mode Moderne, “Strangled The Shadows”

We get some new, blustery post-punk from the Vancouverites.

- Dec 13, 2013

Mode Moderne's “Strangled The Shadows” is a song that's come out of the rain but stubbornly refuses to shake the water off. Comparisons to Carson Cox of Merchandise's droopy and earnest vocal stylings are not unwarranted, and while this is more C86 than Total Nite, the post-punk group ratchet up their tear-clouded vision and plead, not too ungainly, for us to borrow their eyes for a few. Their new album Occult Delight is out January 21st via Light Organ Records. We spoke to Mode Moderne for UNCHARTED.
